Welcome from our District Director!

My name is Samuel R. Young II and I bring greetings to you from the District of Indiana and the 13 chapters of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporate. Alpha Phi Alpha develops leaders, promotes brotherhood and academic excellence while providing service and advocacy for our communities.​

The brothers throughout the state of Indiana continue to RISE by making a positive impact in our communities. By performing our National Programs: Project Alpha, Voteless People is a Hopeless People, Brother’s Keeper, and Go to High School Go to College.

This website gives the brothers of Indiana a chance at highlighting our history, chapters, and events. Thank you for visiting and supporting our efforts.

Go-To-High School, Go-To-College

Implemented in 1922

The "Go-to-High-School, Go-to-College" program, established in 1922, concentrates on the importance of completing secondary and collegiate education as a road to advancement.

Implemented in the 1930’s

Sometimes brothers move from place to place and don’t get registered right away. We understand, but now is the time. You can’t do anything unless you are sure that YOU are registered to vote.

Project Alpha

Implemented in 1980

This collaborative project is designed to provide education, motivation and skill-building on issues of responsibility, relationships, teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases for young males ages 12-15 years.

Brother’s Keeper

Adopted as a national program in 2010

Brother’s Keeper is a service program developed with the mission of advocating and improving the quality of life for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. brothers, their spouses, and widows who are retired, are elders, have disabilities and are ailing; and vulnerable community members.
