Greetings,
I am Joa’Quinn Griffin, and I have the honor to serve as President of the Gamma Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. Gamma Eta has been leading and serving Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana since 1947 when it was chartered by 7 trailblazing men. Throughout the year's Gamma Eta has been recognized for its work in the development of leaders, and promotion of academic excellence, having had adequate representation at every level of Alpha leadership. While staying true to our motto “Service is the Key to Success” Gamma Eta has established a legacy of service and working towards the betterment of our communities through educational and leadership programming. After celebrating 75 years since the inception of Gamma Eta, we are excited to continue to make an impact on a national level!
Being a catalyst for growth in our communities; we tirelessly strive and push for our national programs forward that advocate for political awareness, provide mentorship, and development of our youth, and support and resources to our brothers and families in need. Constantly seeking ways to be more involved brothers from Gamma Eta are currently represented in Alpha Phi Alpha leadership for the District of Indiana, as well as leadership in the local Bloomington community, and across many organizations and departments at Indiana University.
Having brothers experienced in many career fields and degree programs Gamma Eta plans to continue to push humanity forward in achieving a higher social, economic, and intellectual status through a series of programming and collaborations between valued partners and influential brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha. We believe that continuing old traditions and providing new experiences is important to the enhancement of our organization and we are excited to engage our communities in making a difference that will impact people of all backgrounds.
