Greetings from the Two Hundredth Ninetieth (290 th ) Chapter of Alpha, the Theta Xi Lambda (TXL) Chapter. On August 9, 1965 eleven brothers had the vision, then took the initiative to charter a chapter. This vison has allowed South Bend’s Men of Distinction to carry on the “Aims of Our Dear Fraternity.” While the men of TXL are prominent in their respected fields, each understands that the work of an Alpha Man is a constant battle. These battles are highlighted by or National Programming. The Big Brothers/Big Sisters, “Bowl for Kids’ Sake” allows fundraising for their program. Our March of Dimes “March for Babies” raises awareness for premature birth. With brothers working in the public education, this allows for “Project Alpha” and “Go to High School/Go to College” programming success. In adlibbing lines from Brother Sydney P.
